Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), Practice Manager

Joc is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with experience across acute hospital nutrition, research and community health. She creates a warm, supportive and non-judgmental space for clients to talk about food, symptoms and routine, and works alongside them to find practical strategies that feel achievable and sustainable.

Joc has a special interest in neurological nutrition and recovery. When the nervous system is healing, nutrition is rarely “just food”. Appetite can change, fatigue can rise, routines can fall away, and weight and cardiometabolic markers may shift. Joc supports people after stroke, brain injury and persistent post-concussion symptoms, and those living with neurological conditions where day-to-day function, energy, sleep and symptoms can be affected. Her goal is to help clients build a better relationship with food, regain confidence with eating, and support strength and wellbeing through holistic and personalised nutrition planning.

Joc is also the practice manager at SynergiMed. She oversees the clinic’s daily operations. She is committed to supporting your rehabilitation and overall health with her experience.

Services We Provide

With appointments in specialist rehabilitation service, we help patients access coordinated multidisciplinary inpatient or outpatient therapy to aid in patient recovery.

Spasticity Treatment

Arm injury treatment

Spasticity due to stroke, cerebral palsy or conditions like MS can result in clenched hands and stiff arms and legs that cause pain, affect hygiene and impact on daily activities including walking or provision of care. Targeted intramuscular botulinum toxin A injections can provide effective treatment and symptomatic relief.

Concussion Management

Female Patient

Concussion symptoms are often missed and under- recognised after sporting injuries, vehicular or work accidents. Early intervention through coordinated concussion therapy and rehabilitation results in significantly reduced recovery time and early return to sport/study/work.

Disability Consultation

Prosthetic Leg

Patients with life-long disabilities from injury or illness often benefit from coordination of care from a rehabilitation physician who recognises the impact of their condition on aspects of everyday life.

Dietitian Consultation

Hand Holding Bananas

People living with long-term symptoms or complex health conditions often benefit from nutrition support that recognises how eating is affected by fatigue, pain, medications, appetite changes, and disrupted routines. A dietitian can provide practical, evidence-based strategies and ongoing follow-up to support recovery, energy, strength and overall wellbeing in everyday life.
